Brochenin Isabelle :

I Villini has a
very convenient location.
It is close to the train station - great for
travelling to Florence. Not too far away is Castello di Nipozzano
a perfect place for winetasting. Pontassieve is a nice town with
friendly people, good restaurants and shopping. |

calde ( caffe,te e tisane) e acqua fresca sempre disponibile.
Parcheggiata la nostra macchina gratuitamente davanti all’albergo ce
all’uccelletta).
nostra vacanza a Firenze è stata perfetta anche grazie all’albergo I

Our arrival was a bit late in the evening. We were too tired to go out
for dinner. The owners (Angela and Tino) helped us find a pizza
delivery. Most did not deliver at that time so Angela went out on her
Vespa to get us a Pizza. She came back in ten (!) minutes with two
very tasty pizza's and a nice bottle of red wine. How's that for a
welcome! The hostel is very lovely decorated with housemade art. Only
7 or 8 (all uniquely decorated)rooms available make this hostel small
and cosy. The rooms are clean just like the rest of the building. So
if you are looking for a sweet, small, romantic and "no-hurry" place
to stay... this is the one. Breakfast in bed is modest, but tasty. The
warm "scones", coffee and orange-juice will give you a jumpstart for
the day. Speaking of which: for any information about the surroundings
or a day out, Angela and Tino are very devoted in assisting you in
this. We stayed at I Villini for almost a week giving us time to
explore the surroundings. Take the 15 minute train ride to Florence
for example. It is a lovely ride and tickets are very cheap. We really
enjoyed our one week stay in this lovely albergo and we can encourage
you to give it a try. The owners definitely define the word
hospitality. Thank you for a lovely time. Antoinette and Jeroen The

We could not have met more amiable, knowledgeable, or helpful people
than Tino and Angela. Their attitude toward their clients is an
instant winner! |

Very nice hotel, the rooms are lovely decorated with arts (figures
and paintings) of the owner. The owners are very friendly and
helpfully, they give qualified consulting in tours, restaurants and
any other questions. Perfect starting point for visiting Firenze (take
the train!) and Chianti |

Angela and Tino have received a lot of very good reviews here, and
elsewhere. All thoroughly deserved, I must say. Ryanair now fly from
Sevilla to Pisa, and we'll be returning to Firenze in 2007, and I won't
hesitate to book in to I Villini again. Very very helpful, and very
very friendly. They even had a recommendation for a restaurant in
Lucca, on the day of our departure; which turned out to be excellent. |

I will stay here again and
again! The Villini's were fabulous hosts. The property is all it
advertised it to be. The location could not be more convenient to the
train station. From there it is a short 15 min ride to Firenze. The
rooms were spotless. There is a coop grocery store within a 5 minute
walk .The town of Pontassieve is a charming little town. Ask the owner
Albergo for a recommendation of restaurants in the neighborhood. We
found them very good and affordable. Overall I have no complaints and
rate this property a 5 star. The price I paid for a room with private
bath and two beds and the cleanliness I could never find in the US. |

We enjoyed our
stay at I Villini very much. The advice and directions of our hosts
helped greatly. Their breakfast is a must and much better than the
nearby restaurants. I highly recommend the I Villini especially for
those watching their budget. |

Richard:
Perfect location if you want a base to tour Tuscany or visit
Florence. Florence is only a 4 euro/15 minute train ride away and the
station is only a 5 min stroll, trains every 30 mins (don’t drive into
Florence it’s a nightmare to park). The highway connections are superb;
Siena, San Gimignano (must see) and Pisa are within easy reach. The
town itself is small and with only a few places to eat at night,
however there are quite a few restaurants on the way to and in nearby
Rufina. The Accommodation is simple, clean, comfortable and very safe.
The owners speak excellent English and are more than helpful. They are
both very knowledgeable on the local area, and more than willing to
lend advice on places to visit. The heart of the Chianti region is
only minutes away from the accommodation therefore a good base for the
wine lovers. Overall the “Villini” was the best value accommodation we
came across in our 2 month tour of Europe, it is well run and
maintained we’ll be back in 2006, excellent value! |

We enjoyed the out-of-the-ordinary decor, the brilliantl and whimsical
wall sculptures made by the landlord/host. For whom it matters, the
host speaks excellent English, and was helpful in every way.

This
was a really great stay! The man and woman who run the place are very
friendly and try their best to give us a nice stay. Rooms are clean
and the hotel has a great and strategic loacation for both visiting
Florence and go wine-tasting or hiking in Toscana. We will
definietively come back here. |
